Brush pens are a fun and no-fuss way to get started with calligraphy! In this class, you will learn the letterform fundamentals and familiarize yourself with the strokes that provide visual dimension and texture to your work. Practice is integral to your success in calligraphy and hand lettering design. We will experiment with several different styles to find the technique that you prefer. I will teach you stroke-by-stroke on how to create beautiful, elegant brush lettering that is perfect for invitations, stationery designs, marketing, advertisements, home decor, and more!

This class is ideal for those who want to learn the basics of brush/hand lettering. It begins with learning how to use the basic supplies and delves into the strokes and letter forms. You will develop more comfort in using the writing instrument of your choice. The act of writing has proven to be therapeutic for so many— no experience is necessary to get started!
We emphasize that this is a “little-to-no-experience” beginner level workshop. If you are intermediate-advanced level, please contact me for a class more suitable for you!
